They were the only opening band that didn't blow chunks, good but far from stole the show. The Cure played a total of 2 new songs and a bunch of semi-obscure stuff, I knew all the words but I am a dork. Heck here's the set list
Plainsong, Shake Dog Shake, Us or Them, Fascination Street (with extra long intro), Before Three, A Night Like This, The End of the World,
Lovesong, Inbetween Days, Push, Pictures of You, The Figurehead, From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea, alt.end, A Strange Day, 100 Years,
Disintegration

Encore: Close To Me, Lovecats, Let's Go to Bed, Why Can't I Be You

I'm probably not gonna go to this tour, but if you've never seen Mogwai, I can give you some insight into that...

I like Mogwai a lot. Their sound is good live - very dense, loud and full sounding. However, when I saw them, I was bored witless by their show. I didn't really expect stage presence from a shoegaze sort of band, but everything followed too much the same formula. Maybe that's just a matter of the setlist they picked, but they did all songs that had the exact same pattern. Start quiet, build, calm back down, build, and then big long feedbacky finish. Their set got old, and I wound up sort of disappointed.

edit: haven't really listened to the Cure since high school when Disintigration came out, but really glad to see they played "Shake Dog Shake". Still dig that song.
