For the oppressed, peace is the absence of oppression, but for the oppressor, peace is the absence of resistance.
Kerry brought the war record issue on himself by using it in his platform. Bush never did.Kelshara wrote:I never knocked Bush' before his campaign to ridicule Kerry's. But considering all the crap that is being thrown at Kerry's past, do you seriously expect us to sit back and ignore the black spots on Bush' past? 4 DUIs among the 2 leaders? That is pretty bad representatives for the country.
No, I don't approve of people drinking and driving... but how long ago was that? Does he still drink and drive?
I don't approve of people who use illegal drugs either, but Clinton got elected. Wait, Clinton did that before he was in office so it was ok.
If Bush had gotten a DUI while in office or in the previous 4-5 years before he became president, then it would have been more of an issue.
If Clinton had used marijuana while in office or in the previous 4-5 years before he became president, I'd have a problem with that too.
What both did as far as DUI or marijuana is in the long ago past. Younger people do stupid things. It's just plain fact.

'The constitution forbids a state's electors from voting for candidates for president and vice president who are both "an inhabitant of the same state as themselves." Cheney lived in Texas, had a Texas driver's license and filed his federal income tax using a Texas address. He had also voted in Texas, not in Wyoming, a state where he had not lived full-time for decades.'Voronwë wrote:Wyoming.masteen wrote:Cheney is from montana or iowa or some similar backwater.
That's what I read anyway.
This is true. Hillary Clinton showed us how easy it is to state hop for political gain.Siji wrote:'The constitution forbids a state's electors from voting for candidates for president and vice president who are both "an inhabitant of the same state as themselves."
