Purple Heart Band-Aids

True colors

http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/08/ ... index.html
NEW YORK (CNN) -- Delegates to the Republican National Convention found a new way to take a jab at Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry's Vietnam service record: by sporting adhesive bandages with small purple hearts on them.

its all part of the bullshit coming from Bush where they "officially" are the good guy and say the right thing, and subversively appeal to the lowest common denominator.

An Air Force general i saw interviewed about this today was incensed. But hey who cares. what crawled up his ass and died!? show me the money!!

A lot more people than John Kerry have gotten purple hearts - and quite frankly anybody who is a Bush supporter who would even make a slight about any injury - no matter how slight - that actually occurred in the Indochina theater is a complete and utter moron. And anyway, the people who were next to John Kerry when he got wounded say it was legit.

It should be noted that the Republicans asked the person to stop handing them out. The damage had already been done, but hey, at least it didn't take a week of saying they wouldn't tell the person to stop, then a few days of saying that there was a possibility their intelligence was wrong and they may ask him to stop, then finally asking him to stop.

The bandaids were in extremely poor taste. I'm glad they put a stop to that. Morton Blackwell should be booted from the party.

Clearly shooting themselves in the foot on this one.

I guess contrary to what the RepSpinMachine would have me believe, it's not just Democrats who sustain self-inflected injuries.

Probably 50/50 but the entire thing was unnecessary. I'm sure there are some veterens out there pissed at what they think Kerry did to get home whether it's valid or not, they already had those people's votes. The bandaids weren't going to help anything.

Man, and I thought the democrats were into some stupid shit. Thank God this looks like a fringe thing.

Really pisses me off that someone that's never even had so much as a water gun shot at them most likely could make lite a veterans purple heart, just because they happen to disagree with their political beliefs. I said it before, but this is some hardcore dirt this election. I guess to appease the morons we need lavender hearts for pusses, and purple hearts for loss of limb, organs, senses, mobility etc.
