INTENSE movie

Post by Xzion »

The new exorcist was one of the fucking scaryist movies i have ever seen in my life. Granted its pretty slow paced at the beginning, but then GODAMN, it picks up fast.
Brilliant story, and great direction with just a few flaws

If you want to be scared off your ass and/or enjoy a great movie i would put this on the top of your list
5/5 stars

How vital would it be to see the previous exocist movies? I haven't seen any of them and don't want to lose any experience if I go see this in theaters...

All you need to know is that the chick's head spun all the way around and she had projectile vomit!

The original started pretty slow (same with the Shining and a lot of other great horror flicks), but it is scary and pretty well done. I'd suggest checking it out, but I doubt it's necessary before you see the newest one.

Okay I ended up seeing it twice by consequence (once my idea, second a bunch of friends were going and one offered to pay for my ticket) and I enjoyed it both times, I was hoping there would be more background/lore dealing with Lucifer or something more fucked up than the possesed chick, but it still got me to jump a few times and the way they found the old alchoholic was just plain badass...overall a 4/5 stars from me

PS. The priests needed hammers or maces to go melee cleric on people....

It was pretty scary. Anyone notice a face flash in the cave near the end? Or was that just my imagination.

Edit to add:
Some dialogue sucked. I'll give an example
Dude: "He disapeared"
Chick: "Where did he go?"
Dude: "No one knows"

That kinda irritated me.

Also, the little kid was a poor actor.
