Interesting read, guess he is a flip-flopper!A top Republican congressman has broken from his party in the final days of his House career, saying he believes the U.S. military assault on Iraq was unjustified and the situation there has deteriorated into "a dangerous, costly mess."

I'm glad he's retiring. Any other pussies that hide their true feelings should hit the road along with him including Kerry who'd flip his entire platform if it would get him elected.Kelshara wrote:http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/08/ ... index.html

Kerry said he supported an invasion in Iraq, of course done differently then the dubya regime, but still said he would support one, with the facts we know today.Winnow wrote:I'm glad he's retiring. That statement lost him votes, i agree with him less personally because of that quote. Yet it discredits these bullshit claims by the bush regime that Kerry would "flip flop" just to gain votes
I still dont understand how a reasonable person such as yourself has jumped on the Bush bandwagon, and tend to support everything he says and does, always finding a way to dilute and and spin any bullshit argument to make Kerry look bad, using tactics similar to Michael Moore and good ol Rush

In Congress these days, it's all about winning. The Republicans win more often lately because they run a tighter ship. Every Republican congressman must vote the party line or face brutal consequences. The national Party will not only keep you off any committee of consequence and kill any bills you present, their tendrils reach all teh way back home where the local Party will screw you over at election time.
Elect a junior Republican congressman from your district and be prepared to bow to the whims of men named Hastert and Delay.
