Madden 2005

Post by Bubba Grizz »

I just bought it and started a franchise. For the life of me I couldn't figure out where to go after I finished the Training Camp. Then finally I hit the option to skip Training Camp and that finally gave me the Play Week option. That was really annoying.

Now I am getting my ass kicked in pre season because the plays are mostly new to me. I play the Packers (obviously) but in the last incarnation of the game I would play with the Bengals play book. I liked that one for some reason. I am noticing now that the linemen move a bit faster and are quick to sack yer ass while you are waiting for a route to develope. It will take me a season to get used to the controls and shit again.

The music on the game is nice but it gets too loud so I turned it way down. You also get to choose what you want to hear during the game by way of listening to Madden and Michaels play calling or just hearing what is on the field. There are a few new things to make it interesting. I'll explore it more when I get through a few more games.

Both Madden 2005 and ESPN 2K5 could use better menu/selection setups especially for the franchise modes.

OMG. I finally played a team with cheerleaders and if you thought the tits on EQ chicks are insane you should see this game. Hell even I am offended by this. They are like bombshells sticking straight out. You can tell the artists are lonely lonely men.

Otherwise, I am getting my ass kicked on All-Pro level. Seems the computer can do no wrong and I can only do wrong. I through a shot at a wide open guy and suddenly a defender is there to intercept. They throw a ball into triple coverage it is caught and a TD. Frustrating.

According to most reviews I've read, ESPN is offensive minded, while Madden is all about defense, this year around. From the sounds of it, it's true, Bubba.

Anybody know when Madden 2k5 is coming out for the PC? And sigh, I wish NFL 2k5 would release for the PC, I personally like that version a bit more; it's more arcade versus Madden being more simulation (IMO).

Ok, I am having a minor crisis. I play the Packers as my team of choice. The problem comes from my not being able to play the Sherman playbook very well. So I switched to the Marv Lewis playbook from the Bengals. Now I am able to play competitively and actually win. My crisis is that of guilt. I feel guilty that I am not using the Packers playbook. This is something that I will overcome but I just wanted air my guilty feelings about this. OH THE DRAMA!!!

Has anyone had to make a game winning clutch field goal? The game really is cool at this point. It has a heartbeat and it changes the angle of the camera for your kick. It is really cool. Talk about pressure.
