IT'S DONE!!!!!!!

Yes, this is the official word that DOOM 3 has been code released and has been approved for manufacturing!
It won't be long now until the anticipation ends and the PH34R begins ;-) We literally just hung up with
Activision and have confirmed that our latest release candidate has been mutually approved and is finally
GOLD. Thanks to everyone for their patience (yeah right! =) and for everyone at id, Activision and our
numerous partners for helping us create what I believe is absolutely the best game we have ever made.

So, the next question is release dates. Retailers in the States will be allowed to pick up games starting
at 12:01 AM on August 3rd. The official street date is actually August 5th in the U.S.A., but some of
your favorite stores will probably have it early for those of you who have to have it first. Check with
your local retailer for that information.
Looks like those of you worried about development taking forever can relax now. ;)

I tend to agree in general.

Halo 2 will have a ton more playability and entertainment packed into it.

Half Life 2 at least introduces some new weapons and a great engine for multiplayer games based off it's code.

With games like Far Cry being released these days, the Doom games aren't going to cause much excitement using the same format with basically a graphics enhancement and creepy sounds. All of the top games are going to have excellent graphics and sound.

Doom 3 scores a 10 if you only play games for 4 hours and like horror themes.

Burnout 3 will own all September 9th! Out of all the past years Xbox games, I play Burnout 2 the most. Halo 2 will kick in after that!

I realize I switched platforms mid post. It's a shame Halo 2 won't be available for PC until later down the road.

Slab, if you want to post in this forum, you have to do it in readable english or I'm going to delete/edit your posts. Feel free to complain to anyone you like, but that's how it's going to be. This is your one warning.
Oh, my God; I care so little, I almost passed out.
