Running a DOS program in a window

Post by Dups. »

Is there a way with Windows 2000 to run a dos program in a window. What's happening is I have The Incredible Machine installed at work but when I run it.. it goes to a full screen. I have gone into the Window tab in the properties of the icon. It's already set to Window for Usage.

Checked all the other tabs and it does not have anything that seems to enable what I want.

I have tried pressing alt+enter. that brings it into a Window but then it's frozen.

TIA
I have no sense of decency. This way , all my other senses are enhanced!

The short answer is no.. DOS programs don't have the capability to handle being the in background, partially covered, etc.

You fake it w/ VMWare.. that's a lot of effort to play an old DOS game at work though :)
