Eddie George is pretty much washed up although the rumor is that LaDainian Tomlinson is heading to the Cowboys after his contract expires this year. Julius Jones and Eddie George are just temporary fixes for this year. If you look at Eddie's yards per carry last year, he doesn't look so hot.

He is a hell of a lot better then what they had.

Who'd they have? Hambrick? I think Eddie was just too injury prone to be a factor. It didn't help that McNair would run with the ball a lot. Kind of like Vick getting more rushing yards than their running backs.

Whenever I watched a Titans game in the past I only saw George running up the middle. I remember seeing him at Ohio State and he had good speed to the outside (if I remember correctly anyway) so I was always wondering what the coaching staff in Tennessee was thinking.

I'm willing to bet he has a great year for Dallas under Parcelles.

He was a good runner. I think age has caught up to him is all. He's taken a beating over his career.

More importantly, this screws up my plans to draft Julius Jones as a backup RB for my team.

To quote the Bronco's, and I dare say they have had some success running the ball, a good back becomes a great back behind our O line, and Dallas has a pretty damn good O line again finally, far better then Tenn had last year.

Yards per carry last three years: 3.0, 3.4, 3.3. Career yards per carry: 3.7.

Go ahead and enjoy him, Cowboys. The Eagles will still handily take the division, washed-up star or not.

Hope you like Short Arm owens not going all out to catch your passes over the middle. Behind D's O-line George should be right around 3.6-4.1 yards a carry, that'll do. I see Dallas and the eagles both winning right around 10 games

I mentioned Eddie George's yards per carry higher up on this thread. Don't make excuses for Eddie's YPC, check out LaDainian Tomlinson's yards per carry behind a crap O-Line last yead. (that would be 5.3) Eddie's a has been...I feel like puking every time I see Emmit Smith in a Cardinals uniform...another washed up player.

A top five back, he is not, but Dallas does not need a top 5 back. They have one of the best 3 defences in the league and if we could start scoring more than one offensive touchdown per game, we are going to have a serious squad this year.

Eddie George is a great person and will be a great leader to have on a VERY young team. Roy Williams is god-like and I predict that he will hit someone hard enough this year to actually shatter time-space and open a hole into another dimension.

I cannot wait for TO to come across the middle on us this year.

Roy Williams is a tank. Just about the only safety who hits harder is Brian Dawkins.

You obviously didn't watch him with the 9ers the past 2 seasons

Last 4 years for Terrel Owens:

2000 97 REC 1451 Yds 13 TD

2001 93 REC 1412 Yds 16 TD

2002 100 REC 1300 Yds 13 TD

2003 80 REC 1102 Yds 9 TD

Not too shabby. He's an ass but he produces.

I guess you didnt notice what Philly had at WR last season, if you did you would probably cease to comment on TO right now. Short arms, hell no arms and a couple bum knees will produce more.

Anyone ignoring Eddie George is uninformed. The tennessee offense has changed radically in the last few years because of Steve McNair. Their running game has been predictable and gotten worse because the O-Line has deteriorated. Instead of bruising opponents, they are tryign to finesse them with passing. Parcells knows how to use George and Dallas will use him more. I expect 1200-1300 yds rushing and 50 catches this year.

Parcells is also a very old school coach who knows that championship teams start with good linemen on both sides of the ball. If there is a more perfect coach for an Eddie George type RB, it would be Joe Gibbs
