I watched it. I was ok with it being fake...but I was not ok with it being a steaming pile of horseshit. Very disapointing. An utter pathetic attempt at a documentary or scare-u-mentary or whatever they were going for.

I missed it. They did a 3-hour fake biography on him? Why?

I still dont understand the reasoning, but Im assuming M Night will sue Sci Fi in some psuedo lawsuit to further the laughable free media attention going to "Teh Village"

I watched the special because I am interested in "The Village", just cause it looks different than the usual shit being put out. I like thrillers :) That, and I like The Sixth Sense. Not a big fan of any of his other works, hell, I haven't seen "Signs" yet anyways.

So, not a Shymalan fan or anything, this movie just strikes my fancy. So I wasted my time watching the documenturd.

I'm a huge Shymalan fan. My respect for him grew by leaps and bounds while viewing the extras on his various DVDs. I think he puts more of himself into his films than most directors. Each film is very personal to him, and I respect that. He's also just a nice guy with a good head on his shoulders.

Camera angles, music, mood, and color are all equally important to him. I cannot think of another well rounded young director that I can even compare him to. He's pretty much in a class all his own IMO. However, I think he needs to diversify in his films a bit more to truely come into his own.

On topic, I never heard of this documentary so I have no opinion.

Here is the stuff on it:
Sci Fi channel page

Its on this Friday morning at 8am, woohoo! Big time slot!

I don't see it scheduled after that. Must not have done as well as they had hoped.

I think (so far) he is a terrible, highly overrated director
Im the only person who thought the six sence was a steaming pile of horseshit, Signs...well that speaks for itself
Im willing ot give him one more chance, he does have some unique directing styles but as a whole his actual movies are terrible
Yet, i do think he would have tremendous potential if he was given/or would write a decent script

Sixth Sense was awesome. Unbreakable and Signs were unmitigated ass. I will go see Teh Village, and if is sucks, I will never see a M. Night Shamalamadingdong movie again.
