Recently I rebuilt my computer... and a few things Ive noticed. First off, the processor temp seems to hover around 104 degrees, even though I have a pretty good fan on it, and also a very cool case... is this too hot?
Also, with my current load of XP (only been installed since last night) I have crashed windows explorer a # of times loading all of my utilities.... since I just reloaded the system last night, would there be a reason for this? The utilities Im loading are as follows:
Nero
Alcohol 120
Stardock Object Desktop
Rainlender
Rainmeter
Spybot S&D
Spysweeper
Avant
ATI Radeon Drivers
Epox Nforce2 Drivers
WinRAR
K-Lite
Trillian
Irfanview
Quicktime
Windows Critical Updates
DirectX9
Winamp
Acrobat
Logitech Bluetooth Stack
System Specs:
ATI Radeon 9700 Pro
Epox Nforce2 8RDA+ MB
AMD Athalon Barton 2500+
2 x 512mb PC2700 DDR in dual channel
Maxtor 7200RPM 30GB ATA133
Is there a utility out there to test Windows stability? If Ive got a bad software load, Id rather start over now than in 2 months...
Im thinking of dumping Trillian and Avant... just not so sure I like the interfaces... but going to give them some time. Also, a neat website I found for utilities is http://www.oldversion.com (I think its down atm...)
Any help would be appreciated.

104F = No Biggie
You have that entire list of files loaded at once? K-Lite may do it. Those codec packages can really screw things up. It's always best to install codecs individually and get the latest.
Dump Infranview and get ACDSee Classic. (by shanannigan means)
Dump Quicktime and Get Quicktime Alternative (free)....much less resources and screwing with your system than Quicktime. (same with Real Video...if you have that dump it and get Real alternative) Both use Media Player Classic.
Trillian sucks but Trillian Pro is nice with the EQIM plugin (if you still use that).
