Need Farcry Help

I'm stuck on one part and I either just suck really bad or the game is bugged because when I sink the boat that has the backup generator on it....Crow comes flying in on a heli-copter shooting up a storm and no matter how many times I hit him he doesn't die.

One would think that 4 rockets would kill a man no matter how crazy he is...

Anyone else beat this guy?

The way that I did it which seemed very easy was...

At the front of the ship where you run after setting the last explosive there should be a few pieces of deck equipment right before the bow. One of these looks like a ventilation shaft coming up with a 90 degree bend in it. When Crow first comes in I popped a couple shots at him and than ducked behind the shaft to reload and let him fire at me. If you position yourself well he shouldnt be able to hit you at all other than occasionally when you pop out to shoot at him.

The other thing that seemed to help a lot was to use the gernade launcher on the OICW because it flies faster than the rockets so its easier to pop out and fire a few off without getting hit.

I used the trainer and it still took a retardedly long time to kill him.
