The last round showed one of the reasons I do love the NHL playoffs: there's no free rides. Everyone has to play hard, not just do enough to get by, or you're out and heading to the golf course.
Its even more interesting this year in that there is a complete Change of the Guard as far as the final 4 teams left in it. Philedelphia was in the hunt a few times over the last 15-20 years but has never been able to get back up to the podium. Calgary was last in the conference finals in 1989 (the year they won the cup and the last time they actually did ANYTHING aside from lose in the 1st round). San Jose and Tampa are breaking new ground for their franchises.
San Jose vs Calgary - regular season this was a split. Both teams are basing their runs on sound defense and goaltending above everything else. Will Darryl Sutter and Mikka Kipprusof want to burn their old mates in San Jose? Yes. Will they do it? I don't know. San Jose has a more balanced offense than Calgary and with people like Damphousse loads more playoff experience. San Jose in 6 (and on the plus side, I've been picking the Flames to lose each series so maybe they'll win another one

).
Tampa vs Philedelphia - Tampa looked awesome against Montreal and has had the benefit of resting up and watching as the Flyers and the Leafs battered away at each other. Philedelphia has looked spectacular at times and has looked woeful at others. Tampa in 5
