Seems to double ATI's performance in most tests.

if you were walking around and you came upon a tulip with tits, would you let it be for the rest of the world to enjoy.. or would you pick it and carry it off to a secluded area to motorboat them?

To satisfy the 222 million transistor behemoth's hunger for power, NVIDIA strongly suggests the use of a power supply with a minimum capacity of 480 Watts.
lol! damn, that's crazy. I'd have to upgrade my case and power supply just to run one of these. (but I might do it!)

Like Janx said, the comparisons are misleading as they're comparing two different generations. This is still a seriously impressive card though (especially considering the current batch are running with a 400mhz core, leaving them a lot of room to grow). Even if ATI upgrades their plans to use 16 pixel pipelines (from the current 12) to match the nv40, I think they'll still have a hard time keeping up.
The power requirements are a little disconcerting, but it's to be expected. And it will only get worse as the tech increases.
