CounterStrike:Condition Zero

Post by Erolz NTurnet »

Just wasted some money on a copy CS:CZ today.

It's basically the same exact multiplayer game as before except for like 2-3 new levels and some retextured and/or slightly modified old levels. There are no new weapons or skins either. You also get bots to play single-player games with. While they do a good job of doing whatever it is they're supposed to be doing (setting up the bomb, rescuing hostages, etc) they still don't have the same feeling that you have when playing with folks online.

There is a portion called the "Deleted Scenes", which is nothing but a bunch of small single-players levels. You have to play them in a certain order even though there's no story to tie these missions together. You'll also find all the new weapons and skins here but they are map specific. These missions really have nothing to do with Counter-Strike and imho they really aren't any good.

There's also a CD with HL2 videos. These videos could almost make purchasing CS:CZ worth it... But nah.. Now I wish I pre-ordered HL2 instead.

CS:CZ is utterly disappointing. Stick with CS 1.6 and whatever Steam/Won ID servers you are able to play on while you can and spend your $30 on a hooker or something.
