Tribunal & Bloodmoon expansions for Morrowind..

Post by Akaran_D »

Just got off my duff and beat the hell out of Morrowind's main quest - Dagoth was sickeningly easy.. 3 strikes from Sunder and he went down like a sack of shit into a sewer drain. Afterwards I took a trip to Vivec.. he was substantially harder, but only because he ran out of mana before I could finish him, and as such, he spent the next 5 minutes hitting me for 2pts of dmg and knocking me down for 10 seconds at a time.

Fragger. He died soon after tho.. summoned a Saint and a Skeleton in between knockdowns...

Anyways.

Has anyone played around with the two expanions for this game, and if so, are they actually any harder than MW, or the same? Worth getting or no?

Lvl 22, if it counts. Lord's Mail, Chesymir (sp?), Umbra, Daedric Crescent, Wraithguard, Sunder, Keen, Vampire Ring, the rechargeable soulgem and the major helm you get from that one Deadric quest.. and my Ebony Boots of (air) Jordan with a Golden Saint powered enchantment of Levitate.. plus a mountain of other goodies.

But I guess that on the other hand, I could be like the rest.

If you loved Morrowind and chomping at the bit for more then they're excellent expansions.

Both have decent storylines as well.

I bought this game for my xbox and thought it was boring as hell. I like RPGs a lot but this game just didn't do it for me. It was too much like everquest where you had to constantly practice your skills and crap.

I've never had that trouble.
In all, normal dif, I thought MW was too damn easy. Worst part about it was the traveling, but I used the game editory to create two amulets: one that would bind me to a spot, then another that would port me back to it.

The rest of the time.. cash is so easy to come by, and trainers for skills are generally cheap..

These games felt like Everquest with no online social interaction.

Utterly bored, grabed both of them.
Enjoying Tribunal so far.

NOT enjoying the way that the game gets you involved with Bloodmoon.

Tribunal was merely OK.. a little too limited and the quests were uninspiring.

Bloodmoon, on the otherhand was awesome. I played through it a number of times.

Dagoth was sickeningly easy.. 3 strikes from Sunder and he went down like a sack of shit into a sewer drain
Try it on maximum difficulty.

but I used the game editory to create two amulets: one that would bind me to a spot, then another that would port me back to it.
Heh, every time I start Morrowind with a new character, the first thing I do is haul ass to Vivec and buy my Mark and Recall spells.

Have you tried any of the guild house quests?
Have you done the quest that will let you use the teleporters?
Have you played around with anyskills like enchanting or alchemy?
Have you grabbed any of the official modules from the Bethesda site?

Morrowind's implementation of alchemy is nothing short of brilliant.
There are so many little hidden side quests and oodles of lore if you have the patience to read through all of it

Guild House quests:
Redoran, Archmaster
Fighter's Guild, Master (previous game)
Imperal Legion, Knight of the Dragon
Halfway through the Morag-Tong quests

As for the mark and recall spells, the skill I have governing it is ass.
Enchanting is great.. for added fun, do the following:

Complete Azura's Daedric quest (fairly simple)
-- Capture the soul of the Golden Saint you fight at the end
Recieve the reuseable soulgem
Purchase a spell of "Summon: Golden Saint"
Locate an Extravigant Ring
Enchant the Extravigant Ring with "Summon: Golden Saint" and Azura's Star

Congrats. You now have an unlimited supply of Golden Saints to summon, kill, steal their soul, and enchant your items with.

As for alchemy, no, never bothered. I hardly use potions as is.

Have grabbed the skeleton mod at Bethesda, haven't used it yet.
Haven't found a good reason to do the Propylon Chamber quests yet, aside from them just being there.

Working my way through Bloodmoon now. Glad those damned Assassins have quit hasslign me from the Tribunal quest.. agree, Bloodmoon is almost better than the origional game.

edit: And I am an idiot. In previous post, said I was working on Tribunal, that is wrong. Working with BLOODMOON, tired of the damn Assassins from TRIBUNAL interupting my sleep. =p

I have bloodmoon and tribal. Both fantastic expansions, IMO. Bloodmoon is like level 20+ and will give you a bit of a challenge.

Beat bloodmoon's main quest in 3 days of off and on playing.
I HATED the werewolf mazes.. given that I carry along a whopping 0 health potions because of the way a rest area is always around everywhere else in the game. ><
