Winter Music Conference 2004

Post by masteen »

I just got back from a couple days in Miami, and the events around the WMC were even better this year.

I got to see the Chemical Brothers DJ at Mansion, Danny Taneglia at Envy, and the Crystal Method did a live show at Mansion again the next night.

I'd seen TCM in Tampa last year, and they were even better this time. The Chemical Bros were also very good, and that club is a really nice venue with a great staff of people.

But the real highlight of this trip was Taneglia. We didn't even get to Envy until around 5:30, Danny started his set about an hour after that. He is without a doubt the best DJ I've ever seen. He had that club going off for HOURS. We left at around noon, and not only was the club still packed, but there were still fucking people in line to get in.

The crowd was as international as ever, with people coming from all over the world. I give much respect to Team JPN, those people are tireless dancing machines. Everyone came for love of the music, and it was a really fantastic scene.

So that's why all those people where busy crowding my street when I wanted to go home! Man, I've been so busy working I completely forgot about it, and I fucking live here! Glad you enjoyed it, isn't Miami the best? :)

I like Miami anytime, but during WMC, it's on another level altogether.
