My Alma Mater, UW-Stevens Point, is sending both men's and women's teams to the final four. I love the lower levels because every basket seems to have meaning. That doesn't exist in the NBA, which I despise. In most cases, the games aren't decided till the clock runs out. The men had to take it to overtime to beat their opponent and scored a jumper with only 5 seconds left. I wish they would televise the games as well but I am hapy to catch what I can on the radio.
I just wish that New Jersey was closer so I could catch the games. If anyone wants a good time in the NJ area then check out the games. They are usually pretty exciting.

nah he has a point.. I highly prefere college sports to pro due to how college athletes play their hearts out. You don't see that as often in pro sports with the exception of some athletes. The Uni here is a Division 1 school but hardly among the best in the country (Kent State), yet the games are extremely entertaining.
College football > Pro Football
But the same cannot be said about college basketball and pro basketball, at least until March Madness rolls around.
But I am Michigan biased,
UofM football > Detroit Lions
Detroit Pistons > UofM basketball
(To speak of or watch MSU basketball/football is blasphemy)

I feel that on college basketball beats the piss out of Pro b-ball any day of the week, but certainly not football or any number of other sports. The college level just doesn't make for an interesting game unless you have some vested interest in it unless it's an alma mater or rival. I can't really stand college level football because the inequity and overall skill level for that matter, makes for a boring style of play.
College basketball, though, is truly an excellent game to watch. Especially in this year, there's no real runaway leader for the 64 teams. In fact, I wouldn't be surprsied if UAB (assuming they advance to the 2nd round) beats Kentucky who certainly won't beat Ga Tech if they both play in the final 8.
I can't wait until Thursday and Friday, it's easily my favorite sport days of the year for me.
