Time is running out for Osama

Hmm.... This is the third big "we're gonna get him soon" story I've seen in major media in the last month and a half. With the election ramping up, it doesn't surprise me in the least - though maybe that's just me being cynical.

Regardless, I'm taking bets on an October capture. We should have some sort of contest....everybody pick a date, and the person who gets closest gets like 10,000,000 VV's or something like that.

Osama will NEVER be "captured" alive. He will kill himself or die fighting.

Its pretty fucking tasteless of Bush to wait RIGHT BEFORE reelection to do this. I hope they find him the day after election day.

Sort of like when the hostages were released in Iran right after Reagan became president to stick it to Jimmy Carter? If the intelligence community didn't like Bush and had pinned down Osama I could see that happening but I don't think that's the case!

heh a friend of mine who is more pro-Bush than I will ever be made a comment right after Hussein was caught saying "Now Osama will be caught just in time for the election!". Says something when even Republicans expect it..

Have to agree, I see a claim to capturing him before the election. Whether it's honestly him or not, won't matter until after the goal is accomplished (election brownie points) just like WMD truth came out after the goal (the war) was accomplished.

Let's not even mention that Bush himself has nothing to do with whether Osama is captured or not.. but he'll certainly take the press if he is.

I don't even think finding Osama is going to save Bush this election. No, it will take a terrorist act on American soil to save him. We'll see how close to election time one of those happenes.

-WMDs located in Iraq
-Osama captured or killed
-News story confirming Kerry's indiscretions
-N Korea threatens to invade S Korea.
-Cubs win the World Series

Kerry better have some dirt saved up on Bush to compete with that!

I remember seeing ROTK with a pro-bush friend

During the last battle when Theodin lead the charge onto the battlefield riding 50 feet infront of the rest of his army, my "you sure as hell will never see bush do that" comment pissed him off pretty badly, the rest of us had to make fun of him after as well
