has anyone noticed that over the past few years the usa has been having "omg this isn't moral!!" attacks over everything its like its getting bigger and bigger and more blown outta porportion

"Political correctness" has been getting more and more assinine as the years have rolled on. The knee-jerk reactions now going on with censorship and bannings and the like are simply that. Knee-jerk reactions to try to avoid government involvement and fines.
Remember when Ellen's lesbian kiss was such a shocker? Now it's standard writing material to have lesbian themes or gay themes. 10 maybe even 5 years ago, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy would have raised all sorts of protests.
Take a trip to Europe and see how repressed American media is. A lot of things that are such a big deal (eg. Jackson's boob) are only a big deal because we make it so. Europeans are scratching their heads wondering what the fuck the US is making such a big deal about.
