Stragi, Every Pride just like every UFC have a number and a funny name! :D

Pride 12 was called Cold Fury
Pride 15 was called Raging Rumble for example

UFC 40 was called Vendetta
UFC 44 -Undisputed etc etc

-

Here are the fights in Pride Bushido so you can see if its worth the download! :)

1 Chris Brennan VS Eiji Mitsuoka
2 Chalid Arrab VS Rodney Faverus
3 Sergei Kharitonov VS Jason Nobunaga
4 Carlos Newton VS Renzo Gracie
5 Ralph Gracie VS Dokonjonosuke Mishima
6 Kazuhiro Nakamura VS Daniel Gracie
7 Rodrigo Gracie VS Daiju Takase
8 Ryan Gracie VS Kazuhiro Hamanaka
9 Mauricio Rua VS Akira Shoji
10 Aleksander Emelianenko VS Assuerio Silva
11 Mirko Filipovic VS Dos Caras Jr.

As you can see it was a Gracie Family VS Team Japan setting.

Mirko "CroCop" Filipovic VS the Masked mexican Wrestler Dos Caras Jr was an interesting match as well, Kickboxing VS Wrestling! :)

Aren't you talking about that match when Dos Caras did a slam on a Japanese fighter where his arm broke?

The japanese fighter landed on his arm and took all the weight which caused the arm to break at the elbow?

Dos Caras VS Watanabe

Check out this vid Silvie

Also, was Dos Caras older Brother called Uno Caras? And his Younger Brother called Tres Caras? :D

Kwonryu, I know this is off topic, but do you happen to have the full fight for Emelianenko Fedor vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira? Also: Hidehiko Yoshida vs Royce Gracie II? Btw, for your viewing pleasure:

Dos Caras Jr. vs Filipovic. Just the ending.

Hmmm it was the fight on just the other night where the other guy got kneed and it broke his cup.
Maybe that wasn't pride, maybe K1 But it was a masked spanish guy. :)

I want to watch it!

I just finished watching Bushido, that Dos Carlos jr. guy caught a kick to the top of the head and fell on his ass.
I'm pretty sad that Team Japan didnt win either--but they were good matches. Carlos Newton and Kazuhiro Nakamura are probably my favorite fighters )

I really wanna watch that 2002 match between Sakuraba and Royce Gracie though, to see what all the fuss was about.

The fuss about the Pride 2000 Finals match was, that Royce stated he was undefeatable with his Gracie JJ style back then. I am sure you remember the first UFC's.

Lots of talk back then from Royce and Gracie camp.

So, here comes this Sakuraba fellow.

The match was designed after Royce's rules, and it went to 6 rounds (15 mins / round) before the Gracie Camp threw in the towel.

The things that worked so well in the past didnt seem to work that well on this submission wrestler. His lowkicks on Royce took its toll and Saku's grappling-skills sure showed Royce one thing or two!

Why dont you watch the match for yourself Stragoysch? :D

Start with the Highlight where you can see Saku in action!

at the end/mid of bushido though they had a flashback of something and there was a bunch of drama about a decision and they showed royce going "just ask him just ask him!" then it shows sakuraba winning, then they had an interview where royce called him a liar saying he couldn't sleep at night...

Tapped two times!

If you saw the match Pherr, you would see that it wasnt a real tap!

The rules of the match were modified from normal PRIDE rules due to the involvement of Royce, which is evident when you remember that the match had no time limit and no "rules."

One of the rule modifications insisted upon by Royce was that a fighter had to tap three times in order to give up.

Throughout the match, Saku tapped two of the three taps often, to mock Royce.

In the early part of the fight Sak pretended to tap out, he patted Royce's leg while they were both standing but the hold wasn't in tight. Sak was playing mind games with Royce, he was smiling while patting Royce's leg, clearly not in pain. Sak's head was in-between the ropes and he was also making faces at the camera & waving to the audience, making them laugh. Royce had a broken ankle for half the fight & could barely walk.

Royce had Sak in a standing guillotine. But it was having no effect and Sak began to look into the crowd, making funny faces. So he just patted Royce on the bum in a playful manner.

What he was doing is called "fake tap".. you see, tapping out means that you tap at least 3 times on your opponent.. sak tapped only twice each time, thus he didn't tap out, he was just having a little fun

Saku never tapped out, just tapped that ass! :D
