Wireless bridge question

Anyone used one? My proposed setup:

DSL > Router\AP > wireless bridge > switch > rest of the computers

My phone line in the front of the house is "dirty", and the DSL only connects at ~600k\s. In my office I can get ~1300k\sec. Problem is, the way the house is built\wired, replacing the phone cabling would be a serious pain. Looking at the cost of the bridges, it's worth $100 if they work as advertised.

If a wireless bridge works like a normal bridge, I should be all set.

I have Cable Modem->Gateway Computer (NAT and Firewall)->Switch

All my computers are connected to the switch (I have Cat5 throughout my house), including a wireless linksys router which I use to also provide wireless access in my house (mostly for my laptop)

The linksys was fairly easy to set up. Yes I know I could just use that instead of the gateway computer, but this is what I prefer for functionality.

Wireless is an easy setup.

Just rememebr, it's a shared pipe.

I use 802.11a,b,g wireless all the time for stuff at work.

I use it at home.

I've had very little trouble with my home wireless network. My work wireless projects are remarkably hassle free.

I use a bridge for my xbox downstairs. xbox -> switch-> wireless bridge ~> wireless router (switch) -> dsl modem.

Works as advertised. I have a switch down there with my xbox so I don't have to copy my.. uh.. "backup games" to the xbox harddrive over wireless.

All my stuff is DLink 802.11b.
