Wow. I usually try to make it down for that, but this year, I'm gonna be busy studying for my MCAT.
Still, the lineup this year looks less than impressive to me. Distilled, the bands I would want to see are:
Midwest Product
Mission of Burma
Modest Mouse
Polysics
Preston School of Industry
Telefon Tel-Aviv
edit>> The Walkmen
...and a small spattering of local bands that I love, but have seen a million times.
Local bands worth checking out:
Fivehead
Subset
Black Lipstick
Rhythm of Black Lines
Octopus Project <-----(the best of the bunch...see them)

Yeah the lineup isn't that great, but I always find a few bands I've never heard of that I end up getting real into. Plus, I really love the asian showcase, some of the bands athat played last year were totally bad ass.
Some of the bands my gf and I wouldn't mind seeing:
Alice Donut (New York NY)
Britt Daniel (Austin TX)
The Decemberists (Portland WA)
Denali (Richmond VA)
Electric Eel Shock (Tokyo JAPAN) - these guys are great!
Ester Drang (Norman OK)
Junior Senior (Copenhagen DENMARK)
Modest Mouse (Issaquah WA)
Mission Of Burma (Boston MA)
Pedro the Lion (Seattle WA)
Pretty Girls Make Graves (Seattle WA)
Statistics (Omaha NE)
the Six Parts Seven (Kent OH)
The Sleepy Jackson (Perth AUSTRALIA)
Unsane (New York NY) - just for old times sake
Zeke (Seattle WA) - same as above

Yeah, the Decemberists would be good to see.
Heh, funny you should mention Britt Daniel. About 10 years ago, I lived in Austin, and a band I used to play in performed with Spoon regularly at the Blue Flamingo, Hole in the Wall, and various parties. This was before they were picked up by a larger label...around 1994-1997. They were a three-piece then - Britt, Jim the drummer, and a girl named Andy on bass. Jim and Andy were cool as all hell - especially Jim. A nicer guy you could never have found. Britt, however, was a bit of a jackass.
I still can't really find it in my heart to listen to much Spoon or any of his solo stuff. He just turned me off to all his music with his sparkling personality.

I've never met Britt, but I really dug his daytime show at Emo's last year. It was just him and an acoustic guitar. Actually the whole show was good (Britt Daniel, Western Keys, Pinback and Death Cab for Cutie if I remember correctly). Do you still play Arundel? If your in a band give maybe I can come check you out some time.
My friends and I just started a new project, but I'm not sure if you'd get into it. It's kinda like post punk Hot Snakes stuff with a stoner rock/Danzig influence. We haven't played yet, but will probably start gigging around the end of Feb.
