Bearing my soul

Post by Seebs »

Well, I've already posted my bodily functions in the other forum, now I'm openly soliciting for a guild.

My cleric just hit 62 last night and I'd like to group and raid or adventure or simply hang out with some folks sometime. Halfway knowing who you are would be a plus.

Anyway, this is a pretty lonely game if you aren't guilded and were used to having 10's of guildmates on at any time.

If any of you have a suggestion on a possible guild I can join (I'm former old school Obsidian Guard most recently Fluffy Bunnie until they ceased playing) please let me know here or in PM.

Sure would like to start having some fun again, and hell, I have Blessing of Reverence and Virtue now!

I will personally vouch for Seeber as a great guy, great guildmate, and all around fun guy to hang around. whatever that is worth =). Seeber has been around since long ago and has a good perspective on the game.

plus his cleric is a halfling and that totally rules. cleric sneak is truly uber!

i would try to recruit him to sovereign if he was lvl 65 and had elemental + flags, etc. He's awesome.

Seebs, i would say maybe to try to find out info about guilds like <Only the Brave>, <House of Order and Chaos>. I would say <Sceptered Isle> would be a good place too.

to be honest i dont know the 'personality' of those guilds, but from their current raid targets, i think they could very much use a guy like you, and you would fit right in as far as having the appropriate flags, etc. Other people who raid in that progression level of the game might have some good feedback on options.

i think he is going to want to play with guilds who are mostly adults, with limited amounts of utter dipshits, etc. So there you go =).

I agree with Voronwe completely.

He said just about everything worth saying, but he left out Golden Griddle!

You are always welcome to join in on my guild's raids and the like Seeber.

Seebs, if you are at all interested, I have a fairly new..well it is a new guild. We are just a small kicked back group of friends that got sick of the raid grind. Just hanging out and helping each other, constantly cracking jokes, going on runs to help with epics ect. Our numbers are currently small but slowly growing. Eventually we should be able to raid smaller targets if we feel like it. This is a no pressure, play an alt if you damn well feel like it kind of home. Anyway, our name is
<Custodi Del Drago> look me up anytime or send me a PM ect.

I'm an officer in HOOAC that Voronwe mentioned.

We're a pretty small but very raiding active guild. Mostly college students, maturity level of guildchat is very low. But we're just entering VT, and we take our raiding very seriously, so if you're just looking for a relaxed place to chat I don't think we're the place for you. Not to mention all the wonderful shard camps you'd have to do as well.

From your posts it doesnt sound like that's what you're looking for though, and I'm not really sure who to recommend you to at the moment.

Via PM, I have recommended GoV to Seebs, and I have contacted an officer there to give them a heads up that someone was being pointed in their direction. I believe they will be closing their recruitment shortly, so I do not know what opportunities will pan out in this direction.

Recruiting for OtB is currently closed. I think GoV would be a good choice, I have a few friends in that guild and it seems like they have a lot of fun. :)

Where would a 57 Warrior (maybe 56 I can't remember) with a 60 Cleric be welcomed if he wanted to start playing again? Besides Sov, I'm not sure where all my old friends (those who are still playing) are at anymore.

He came by my cubicle today. We may be a package deal.

I need one more shard for my epic so maybe his 57 slasher and my 62 cleric can farm just one more.

No doubt Ajran. Joined Infinite Odyssey and have yet to group with any of them. Kinda forgot how new people are treated like leapers in big guilds.

I'll be patient since this seems like a decent group of people.

I'm actually having a blast selling Virtue in PoK. waited long enough to get it .. its a friggin cash cow. Profit almost 1K a night. Ludicrious for someone not able to group.

now what to do with 60K plat!?

Yup... I've been guilty of doing it myself.. which is one of the reasons i am no longer in a big guild and made my own basically. I didn't like the person i was becoming and i was starting to develop the attitude that I always swore i would never get when i turned 65 and was seeing the high end content of the game.

I'm having much more fun now that my time in game is my own. now i get to choose what i do when i do it. and i don't have to worry about if I am attending enough raids to get a drop i want over 100 other people.

I keep telling myself I'll get that urge to do that high end raiding crap again. then I start thinking about all the bullshit that entails and those thoughts quickly fade from my consciousness.
