I jsut stopped by my local EB while on my lunch break and picked up this special. Since I had neither it was a great deal. Here's something to look forward to in 2004: Ubisoft has announced that, during the month of January, those who buy its highly acclaimed action adventure game, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, will get a free copy of its highly acclaimed stealth action game, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, as a bonus. The deal, which will be available "at all major retailers" according to Ubisoft, covers the PC, Xbox, GameCube, and PlayStation 2 versions of Prince of Persia; depending on which version gamers choose, they'll get the respective version of Splinter Cell. Specific details on how the bonus game will be redeemed were not available, and presumably, those who've already purchased Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time will not be eligible for the free offer. However, those holding off on picking up copies of both games will be in luck.

Prince of Persia is actually a great puzzle game! For those that enjoyed the old school one(s), this game sticks to its roots and does a fine job with playability. It is fun, plus the storyline is actually well done.
The controls are well done, character movement is fluid, the "puzzles" are fun and different, and the only complaint I have is that the fight sequences get a little repetative. Other than that, great game.
Plus, with this deal, makes it ultra worth it. I am only wishing I didn't buy my copy until now, so I could get in on the free action!

PoP was a lot of fun, but it seemed to get repetitive as shit. After like 2 hours of swinging and jumping from pole to pole, and killing hoardes of 3 or 4 different models of mobs, I never picked the game back up.
The whole controlling time stuff was pretty cool though, and it was a good-looking game.
