If LSU wins I can see a split being fair, but only because the BCS doesn't work. If Oklahoma wins then USC is the champ in my humble opinion.

By the way I got a quick peek at the UCLA playbook today. It is 1 page and goes something like this.

1st Down Run
2nd Down Run Opposite way (This will confuse the other team)
3rd Down Pass (if possible make it incomplete)
4th Punt

Man this playbook worked all year.

Was a rough year being a UCLA, Notre Dame and Pittsburgh Steeler fan.

Did anybody see that Utah and So Miss game? I've never seen a worse game played by both teams...ever.

USC owns too.

Ya'll can't rule out LSU for national champs. I feel they are just as strong or stronger than either USC or OK. But I guess I'll find out after the Sugar Bowl.

jesus, that game made my head hurt. UM played like utter shit. My hat is off to the USC D-Line, arguably the MVP's. And in the same, I am really upset with Michigans O-Line, which was the best in the nation until last night.

Pissed at Michigan as well. They brought pretty weak sauce to California.

Would you please explain to me the thought process or reasoning you used to come to such an asinine conclusion. If LSU wins they deserve a share of the title but if OU wins they do not? why? Is there any logic to this statement or are you just another one of those haters like Kelshara whose team sucks so bad that the only glimmer of happiness they have during the season is not to see texas win, but to see oklahoma lose, and then throw out utterly ridiculous and moronic hypotheticals such as "USC would crush OU".

OU should not win/share for the same reason they should not be in the title game. They did not win their conference. How the fuck can you logically win the national title, if you can't win a lesser, conference title. Well a playoff system, but that is a whole other discussion. I can agree by saying that they should not get a share if they win. But if they do win, the will get a share.

your logic is only sound if all conferences had a conference title game.

I tried explaining that before too Xyun, but some people don't seem to understand that. It was basically just another loss on a schedule which was one game longer than the teams that didn't have the extra game.

My team sucks? Damn, news to me! Thanks for informing me though!

I agree wholeheartedly with the comentators: USC won the human title. Who gives a fuck about the computer title, it's a joke this year. Complete joke.

Why would USC crush OU?
- White is overrated. He is a product of his team, and a mediocre QB on his own.
- USC speed is insane. Both on offense and defense.
- USC offense is the best in the nation imho.

I could go on but.. reasoning with Xyun is about as much a waste of time as finding good beer in this country.

I didn't ask you why you think USC would win, nor do I care. Your opinion, much like your team, is trivial. You pose a hypothetical situation, argue vigorously about it, then proceed to claim that you are unable to reason with me. I think some of that texas buffoonery has rubbed off on you. Let me put it in layman's terms for you, IT DOESN'T FUCKING MATTER. That game will never be played. Just take comfort in the fact that OU will only take half the national title instead of the whole damn thing. I'm sure it will make you sleep better, that is until next year when we stomp your ass by 50-something AGAIN.

I was an UT student for a while before transfering out. Honestly, when it comes to college football I don't have a huge favourite. Michigan is close (even though I live and study in Ohio), but I prefere watching good players and good teams over following one specific team.

Ok since I made the "moronic Statement" I will respond.

1. As stated it is my opinion. Did not know I was not allowed to state it. Sorry.
2. Ok Lost by 28 freaking points and it was only 28 because Kansas State called off the dogs. Should the Best team in America lose by 28 points to anyone?
3. I did not realize that by playing a extra game you got to count it only if you wanted. Try winning the important game and then say you deserve a chance. Those conferences that went with the championship format knew what they risked and since the schools are the ones to vote they have only themselves to blame. Lets face it, they were doing a money grab and they get the risk with the reward. So they legitimately finished 2nd, not first. Therefore they should not be playing in a Championship Game.
4. Yes, my teams sucked this year and look to do so for many more years. Now look at my teams again and realize how hard it is to say that USC is a champ. It would be far easier for me to state Oklahoma or LSU is the champ to screw USC but I saw them play a lot since I live in LA and they are scary good.
5. I never said Oklahoma sucks, I just felt that a 2nd place team in their conference should not be a National Champion. As it is college football got what it wanted, no one is discussing the playoffs this week and that was the ultimate goal. ABC is laughing their ass off. Notice how they sold the split title the whole broadcast.

So insult away, I could give a crap. it was my opinion and moronic or not I am sticking to it. Under the old system a late season loss was the worst thing that could happen, is it right? I don't know but 28 points??? that is sad.

well, yes and no. No, because it is clear who wins the conferences due to A) The amount of conference games in the season (8-9) and B) There is 10 teams top in the conferences that don't have a championship game. The one argument that could be made is last year when Iowa and OSU both were undefeated in the conference because they didn't play each other. So, unless the stars align perfectly to have two undefeated teams in the Big 10 or PAC 10, I don't think that is really an issue.
