Fungi Tunics

Post by Nilaman »

Soooooo I go check the bazaar today, I see fungi tunics selling from 79-100k. WHY?

A few months ago they were 30k tops. What caused such a huge price jump?

Man...some people make me sick. I was thinking it might be almost logical if they had been given a req. level of 51 on all the new ones. But theres still a good number of fungis in circulation and it should not be that much.

Thank you.

Also there's supposedly a new melee class coming down the pipe, so the prospective players of it may be snatching them up early for PLing goodness later.

Like the BST class and VAH race, neither can wear the fungi. I expect beserkers or whatnot to be the same way.

The entire market has gone silly, slime boots are back up over 90k, fungis way overpriced.. it has as more to do with fewer people farming older content because they are too busy doin adv's then anything else

The market is all jacked up. Browsing over at playerauctions to see if I can guess who is selling their toon, I notice a huge influx of cheap plat for sale. There must be one serious plat macro or dupe running around. In turn, it is causing the bazaar to go tits up.

That, and the fact that people are making 2k+ per day just from pp drops in LDoN...

I've noticed the prices on a lot of different things have gone through the roof lately. The bubble will burst, give it time.

Poeple put them up at that price because no one else is selling. No one wants to pay that much for a fungi and people will drop their prices to get them to sell.

And, yeah, plat is easy to get now. 2 30 min adventures the other day and I got like 450pp+ in the split.

I base my real life stock purchases on Bazaar trends. A lack of available items in the bazaar means more people are employed again IRL and can't waste as much time pharming EQ crap.

If the bazaar prices are skyrocketing you can be sure the Dow Jones and Nasdaq will follow! Don't miss out!

Or you can box an adventure and walk away with 2k in 45 minutes or so.

Seems simple enough! 45 boxed adventures and you'll have your 90K for th Fungi. For the other 99 percent that can't solo an LDoN, it will take a little longer than 2045 minutes or about 34 hours that it takes the multiboxer.

By my calculations, a normal single box player adventuring will take 198 hours and 270 adventures to get the PP on LDoN single group raids for a fungi. That's still a long time : )

Not if they don't add them to the tunic..

The same can be Beastlords but you don't see them on the pre nerf fungi.

Yea, my brother paid 30k for his and I went in half cause we were gonna use it to p'level our alts. But then we got bored with them and I ended up selling the fungi for 40k a week and a half later. Just all depends on how many are in the bazaar and who's wanting one. Obviously the gimp that buys 400k off of ebay or whatever is not gonna give two squirts of piss if he's paying 30k or 60k for fungi. Those that are smart will wait til the latest fungi craze dies down and they go back to normal.

Or the prices will continue to skyrocket and those of us left behind will live in cardboard boxes and beg for spare change to buy a few glasses of shortbeer in freeport and drunkenly go on and on about the times when we used to be considered rich to have 30kpp :P
Oh, and your poet Eliot had it all wrong:

Ah the Shroom King was such a great camp when I was in my late 50s.
Bastard hard to break and the King himself could be a royal handful (ho ho). But the Tunic was his common back then and more than once my group stayed there til we had one each. Aaah memories :)

I always enjoyed pulling the shroom maze for some reason. When CoE was farming Trak I think our record from zone-in to "Trak Inc" was 19 mins. That's about the only fun memory I have of farming that tosser though. That and missing 14 consecutive fights through being the first to get Trak Touched :P I could never remember the way to the zoneout from the Touch drop point.

That camp is still fun : ) I did it a little while ago with a Pally/Shammy combo and it was a blast. LDoN sucks shit compared to old world zones. There's absolutely no character to the new zones which Sol B, Lower Guk, Seb, etc etc have so much of.
