Scary Movie 3
I saw it, loved it, laughed my ass off at it. It was so predictable that it was just damn great. No movie was spared: Lord of the Rings, Matrix, The Ring, 8 Mile, Final Destination (right at the end - identify that kill!), that Mel Gibson movie with the water hating aliens, the Coolers Light Twins, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and even a throwback to Airplane! at the climax.
Anyways. I hope they do more, but they've only got one origional cast member left standing now.

I know I'm good at what I do, but I know I'm not the best.
But I guess that on the other hand, I could be like the rest.

hmm I don't know why I still haven't seen any of the series, I've seen trailer for SM3 and found it hillarious. I love parodies. If it's as stupid as Naked Gun, Airplane, Mel Brooks parodies then it's funny. One of the best things to do when watching them is remembering what original movies are being parodied. Being predictable is part of the appeal here.

The first two were sperm jokes..
edit: It pulled in 49.5mil over the weekend, and SM4 is in the works.

Further proof that just because a movie makes a lot of money the first week it must be good!Akaran_D wrote:The first two were sperm jokes..

The first week doesn't mean much. Bigger picture is how much it makes overall.

Dude, Home Alone was awesome. However, for a more relevant analogy, look at Home Alone 3.Aranuil wrote:So like... Home Alone?Aslanna wrote:The first week doesn't mean much. Bigger picture is how much it makes overall.
And I'm not saying SM3 is good or bad. I'm just saying the first week box office isn't a reliable indicator of much of anything other than advertising (in some cases.. It didn't help Tomb Raider II that much!).
Here's a good site for interested parties: http://www.the-numbers.com/
However, they don't do any conversions based on value of a dollar and things like that, but it's good reference to see overall trends.

Finally managed to see this last night. I thought it was hilarious...there were 2-3 parts in it that there were tears coming down my face cause I was laughing so hard. All a matter of personal preference no doubt, but I thought it was much funnier than number 2 and at least as funny as the first one.
