Are there 120 dungeons in EQ even today? Not counting the mix and match shit from LoDN.For the cooler rewards, the best loot, the most XP, and the toughest monsters, you have to group with others and venture underground or into the caverns of WOW's 100-plus "micro dungeons" or 20-plus giant dungeons—the biggest of which might take a guild full of players an entire real-world week to clear out.

If their micro dungeons are anything like LDoN dungeons, it's nothing to get excited about : )masteen wrote:Are there 120 dungeons in EQ even today? With the right level/stat requirements, that shouldn't be too much of a problem........Zaelath wrote:But but, think of the mudflation! I wonder if everything is nodrop or whatever they want to call it..No "raid collision" is even possible in World of WarCraft—guilds won't have to camp the game's biggest monsters, because every guild can create its own instance.
Then again.. this is Blizzard....

WoW will be using level limited gear anyways. I'm doubting they'll be like LDoN dungeons.. the micro dungeons won't be instanced from what I can tell, tho there have been a lot of conflicting stories on that one, just the big, major dungeons. We'll probably see some pretty small ones tho, kind of like Morrowinds little mines and that you could enter I'd imagine.
I like the fact that they're making it seem more attractive for people to delve into the dungeons rather than just sticking outdoors... it's possible to, but you'll do it far faster if you go indoors.
That was the exact same article that appeared in the Sept issue of the magazine btw, not that it matters since not everyone got to see it.
<--- Can't wait.

According to CGW, all the dungeons will be instanced.
According to the couple fansites I visited to check this out, only the small ones will be, with the bigass dungeons being non-instanced.
According to Blizzard they "like instancing."
Even if the biggest dungeons aren't instanced, they're going to be so fucking big, it'll take people a week to get through them.
