Wow!
We watched the first 4 seasons of it this weekend and loved every minute of it.
Has anyone else seen this show before? I had heard of it a few times before, but always thought it was an animated series - needless to say I was very shocked to see it was an 80's british sitcom (I think it was 80's, maybe early 90's).
I give the show, up through the 4th season at least, an 8.5/10

Stop watching at season 6. 7 & 8 are crap.
But yeah it's fucking priceless comedy
My favourite is the triplicator show with the Highs and the Lows. Evil Rimmer just cracks me up.
If you guys get the imports of the UK version of "Scrapheap Challenge" or watch the international crossovers, the Brit guy who presents it is the actor who played Kryten.
Interesting eh?

Oh yeah if you have a R2 DVD player the BBC is releasing each season right now - season 3 is coming soon. Like all BBC DVDs it's nicely priced - £15UK per disc, docs, extras, deleted scenes etc. You can also get Blackadder for the same price, Fawlty Towers, The Office, all sorts. And Blakes 7 before the end of the year is the rumour (pwn).
I have the first two season's on dvd, good stuff. I recommend watching with the alternate commentary track (RD is about the only show I have done this all the way through for). They have the actors for Lister, Rimmer, Holly and the Cat all together commenting through each one, pretty amusing.

Can't believe it took me this long to find this thread!!!
I
the Red Dwarf
Got all the series on video (I-VIII) and the two "Smeg Ups" and "Smeg Outs" blooper tapes. Also have the first two series on DVD, which also have excellent commentary. Sometimes when EQ loses its luster, I just pop in tape after tape after tape and watch a marathon session
PBS and BBC America sometimes have episodes, but you're always having to change the damn channel when PBS starts their telethon BS.
Its a damn shame that we have to wait over here in the States for the next series. I think the US version is gonna be released in February.
