Not many other videos have had that much of an emotional impact on me. The last one I remember is Tori Amos with Silent All These Years which is what, about 12 years ago now.
Does anyone have a good quality version of it? I was able to find one on MSNBC but something higher quality would be good.
(Not sure the link will work or not. You'll need to cut and paste since php is freaking out on it)
Anyway, my dad was a big fan of his. And my mother too. So I basically grew up listening to him and all the other real country artists. Like most children I rebelled and didn't think it was cool listening to the same music my parents did so I don't own any of his albums or anything. I may have to go back and pick up a few and give them another listen.

Well, there's things that never will be right I know,
And things need changin' everywhere you go,
But 'til we start to make a move to make a few things right,
You'll never see me wear a suit of white.
Ah, I'd love to wear a rainbow every day,
And tell the world that everything's OK,
But I'll try to carry off a little darkness on my back,
'Till things are brighter, I'm the Man In Black.

IT'S HARD TO PUT YOUR FINGER ON IT; SOMETHING IS WRONG

I "had" a great version of the Hurt video, but I am not sure which comp or where it went. Will look for temporary hosting when I find it. I remember someone at work telling me about it before I ever saw the video, and it didn't even TOUCH on how kickass it was. I mean his voice, the music, and the awesome editing made the video unbelieveable.
