anyone played baldurs gate 2

was doing the side quest to get the "ring of gaxx" sposivly the best item in the game,
i killed kangaxx in regular lich form, went and got the dragon sword
i can do damage to the new form but how the fuck am i suposed to kill it? it banishes me in a second and i dont even have time to break out some monsters to distract him

That's one of the hardest fights in the game if I remember right

Spell resistance for his imprisonment spell, cloak of reflection, ring of the ram, and the beefiest fighter you can get constantly wacking on him.

tank him with Korgan (the dwarf battlerager) and use enrage when fighting him. the lich can't land any mind effecting spells or spells like maze and imprisonment on a raging dwarf but he will still waste them on him. It's a pretty easy fight with Korgan.

Also get your mages to cast warding whip, pierce magic and dispell on him to get rid of his buffs. once his buffs are gone korgan and whoever else is on him will kill him in 2 rounds.

what weapon could i give korgan for the fight? my main char, a paladin has the sword from the dragon dude, whats a good 1 handed or 2 handed wep he can use

and i have the cloak and that doesnt do jack didly shit

I've been waiting for this on PS2, but was wondering if you can import BG1 characters into the new one.. I was rather ticked that I couldn't unload all the loots I got in the Onyx Tower after having spent so much time dropping and picking up items based on value.

Baldurs gate for PC and PS2 are completely different games....they are nothing alike, I wouldn't even say they are in the same genre.

Anyway I played that game, but I got stuck because of a bug in the elemental tower, I didn't get to go kill gaxx.

I think you need +3 weapons or higher to hit a lich. Korgan uses axes.

If you have the bonus disc with hte bonus merchants in adventurer's mart and the copper coin, one of them sells a +5 axe.

If he's high enough level though you can give him pretty much anything +3 or higher and he can hit a lich. The most important thing is to strip off his immunity buffs with pierce magic and similar spells.

i never used korgan except for in the very beginning though to do some book thing, il try and see if the same berserker thing works with minsc, or just have him tank and have my guy sneak up and get some aggro

Oh yeah I forgot Minsc can enrage never mind Korgan then unless he's levelled up.

some reason minsc didnt work, but i picked up the whopping lvl 7 korgan and he was able to hold the spell off while my main dude did the dmg,

and is it just me or does that 7th chapter dragon have a million fucking HP...
used my "load up imoen and edwin on cloudkill and fuck him over outa range with like 15 casts" tactic, rushed all my guys in and by the time everyone was dead it was still "barely injured"...or does it have a special bane or something

dragons cast contingency spells filled with magical protections. use pierce magic and warding whip on them.

IIRC, if this is the demi-lich fight we are talking about ( a flying skull in an abandoned house ), you need +5 weapons to even hurt it. Or else a holy weapon ( paladin's sword ).

got the expansiona nd my char is(was) a lawful good paladin male
im in watchers keep and sometime recently i checked and it sid in his description...neutral evil femail...wtf? still looks like a male and is a paladin, not a fallen paladin,a nd can even hold the holy avenger sword, but it says neutral evil femail...is that some strange bug that happens someplace?

I don't know why it would say female but it changed your alignment at the end of BG2 depending on what choices you made in the underworld before the final battle with Irenicus.

yeah im prettu sure i was still lawful good at the beginning of ToB, but nfc why it says femail, even though char still looks and talks like a male lol
