Good movie. Definitely had the "sharks are circling" feel throughout the flick, which kept you on edge. Very creapy scenes showing the demon flying around at night, and the special effects and makeup were very good. The thing with the Jeepers flicks are they tend to catch you off guard on who they are going to kill off and surprise you, which I like. Worth seeing.
edit- oh and I got to see the trailer for that werewolf vs vampires movie that's coming out next month. Campy yea, but you gotta admire the concept. Looked decent anyway.
Haven't seen this sequel but I saw the first one. What makes this creepier and much darker is the director is a convicted child molester, which gives the whole older/adult figure preying on the young (in many cases) men and boys a more sinister tint.
Ick
The first one was godawful trite crap... I could make a better 'monster mask' using burlap and duct tape. And the story/acting/directing/etc... good god, what shit!
I found the second one to be complete dog shit. I rather enjoyed the first, nothing like a crazy demon hick in a truck killing people for their body parts. But the second was extremely lacking. It was bad enough that I actually started to fall asleep during it. Though I must say it still wasn't as bad as SW:EP2.
I miss the days of decent horror movies

The director of the MOVIE is a convicted child molestor? Or a director character in the movie itself? If the RL director of the movie is a child molestor, why would you pay to see his movie? That seems kind of fucked up to me. He belongs behind bars, not in a movie theatre.

He videotaped himself with the young boy who was the lead in a movie he directed in the late 80s.
