Cowboy Beebop is great, imo.
Saw most of the series, very good.

I know I'm good at what I do, but I know I'm not the best.
But I guess that on the other hand, I could be like the rest.

Anime

Post by Sartori »

Bebop is teh shit. Not necessary to watch em in order, but I would suggest it if possible. The movie is entertaining as hell, too (I think it was just released recently state-side).

There's a few shows I'm lookin for input on: Raxehephon (no idea if it's spelled right), Rourouni Kenshin, Kai Doh Maru, and Noir for starters.

Anyone know if these are worth watching?

I thoroughly enjoy Rourouni Kenshin. Kind of hard for me to understand what order they go in, and they switched production companies after a season (or two) and you can definitely tell the difference but I enjoy both approaches.

I have only seen that, Outlaw Star and the Record of Lodoss Wars, so I am by no means an expert, but I liked em :) *hugs* - a_guide

Its not hard to follow what order Kenshin goes in at all since it follows a story line.. maybe you're watching the american samurai x crap... Kenshin is awesome I've got it all on Fansub from way back in the 8th grade

Watching the series helps out a lot.

Ikari Gendo Ultimate Eva FAQ

Check out the above site if you want a better explanation. It's told from the perspective of Gendo Ikari, Shenji's(sp?) father, but it hleps out a lot. Just remember that a lot of the film/series is pretty much open to each person's individual interpretations.

Another fantastic anime is Berserk. Although quite predictable it's storytelling and characters are some of the most impressive I've ever seen in an anime. I'm gonna test out ripping um and maybe get one or two episodes up for bittorrent purposes.
Oh, and your poet Eliot had it all wrong:
THIS is the way the world ends.
