I have heard that this movie is so long that it is going to be broken into two parts. The second half being shown about a month or two after the original release. That has me chubbin.

I am really looking forward to this movie, but this sounds too much like a gimmick to me. Is this movie really gonna be that much longer than any of the other unsplit epics of late? (Fellowship, Two Towers, Matrix:Reloaded-OK maybe that one is split, Gangs of NY, Gods and Generals)

I agree. What is wrong with having a 3 hour movie? Though I heard that Bad Boys II was like 2 hours 45 minutes and people were upset about, "saw this chase scene an hour ago, cmon with something new already". I can see how it could get a bit long. I remember telling my brother at the end of Fellowship that it was just the intermission and he about died (not a real fantasy fan).

In an interview Lucy Liu said that there is so much fighting in this movie that some people will be getting sick.

Not quite sure why he would have to split it. Both Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown bordered on three hours. I for one am very interested to see how he pulls this movie off.
