Well seeing how all the other movies that have came out as remakes or newer versions... Spiderman, The Hulk, Jason X, the new Halloween, Freddy VS Jason (soon)...it seems that they are not going after content in the movie but nostalgia.

I wouldn't expect it to be worth anything but a few laughs.
