Predict the election, win some VVs

Post by Xyun »

OK here is how we play. The cost is 400 VVs. Guess the final Electoral Vote count for each candidate, the person who gets closest to the actual count wins. In case of a tie, the winners split the VVs. If, for example two people are off by 2, one above and one below, they still split the win. By posting a prediction in this thread you are promising 400 VVs to the winner.

My prediction:

Kerry - 316 Bush - 222

Edit: Predictions must be turned in by 3 p.m. tuesday to qualify. :)

Bush - 290
Kerry - 248

And for the tie breaker Kerry backers whine for 4 years over voter fraud after the lame ass bitches said NOTHING for 3 years following the 200 election. It is only an issue for them when the election is close, if Kerry was 10 points up in the polls right now they would be silent while rigging it against third party candidates.

Even the Russians offered you a choice of Stalin, Stalin, Beria, or Death.

Shhh!

I am but a sheep. Besides, I'm itching to give someone 400 VV's.

But anyway, now that proof of my idiocy is right here, is it possible that I could actually win? I mean, my numbers don't have to add up, they just have to be closer than anyone elses, right? ;)

...by the 3 Reagan and the 2 Bush Sr. appointed judges!
Souter (a Bush appointee) is one of the most liberal on the court. Certainly more liberal than Ginsberg (Clinton). Probably more liberal than Bryar (Clinton). Certaily less liberal than Stevens (Ford).

The most politically right wing on the court is Rehnquist, who was appointed by Nixon.

My prediction is

Kerry: 299
Bush: 239

I think Bush carries Wisconsin. I think Kerry carries FL, but that FL electoral votes find their way into Bush's pot anyway.

Kerry wins the other swing states (NM, IA, OH, PA). Kerry also wins 3 "Leaning Bush" States - CO, NV, MO.

Im a libertarian myself, but i cant vote for a canidate in my party who stands AGAINST abortion rights, it is very un-libertarian of badnarik, that and i find it very important that we remove pres. bush from office

This election wont be like 2000 where 3rd parties got a lot more recodnition, i can see a huge rise in support of 3rd parties in four years from now and even an continual increase in 3rd party support

but the truth is, this year a 3rd party vote is completly wasted, if you dont want to vote for bush or kerry, then simply vote against bush or kerry, as i am doing by casting a vote for john kerry, but more importantly against george bush

Kind of amusing to look at all the posts and see all the "wins" predicted to be Kerry.

Gives you an idea of how off this board is sometimes - still fun to read, but learned to take everything here as much more liberal then the general concensus obviously!

So, who are the top contenders here? Will there be a concession? Are we just waiting for some of the slowpoke states to report? C'mon, these VV's are burnin' a hole in my pocket!
