Re: a newwwwwwwwwwww car
Eventually. The schmucks who foreclosed took all my appliances and ripped out the speakers wired throughout the house (which are seemingly fucking expensive?) so getting those patched up and some new paint are my priorities. The carpet's actually like new.

It's out in Maricopa, which is okay since it's still close to work. Yeah it's a dog door already built in which saves me a lot of issues with doing my own carptentry.Winnow wrote:Looking good stargi. What city is that located in and is that a doggie door I see in the office?

I have big plans for the side of the house, namely never going there and letting the weeds grow taller than an elephant. I'm going to eventually put in my own bbq and firepit in the backyard and ripping out those fucking stupid plants with the purple/pink flowers that blow all over the damn yard. Theres two palms back there but I'd rather get a big Mesquite for shade and I'll probably fill most of it with grass instead of rocks except around where my firepit will be.

Congrats Stargi...
You can measure the cutouts for the speakers and purchase them for pretty cheap online. For the 3 in the LR I would invest some money for nicer speakers, but the cheapest thing in the world will work for secondary rooms. Inwall and in-ceiling cheap speakers should be about $30ea, for decent speakers you can get inwalls for $150-250ea..

Re: a newwwwwwwwwwww car
The LR has the 3 in the wall and two in the ceiling on the other side.. do you have any sites you trust for buying that stuff? I went to ulimate electronics and everything was like 250 bucks a pair. I'm assuming the 3 in the LR wall and the 2 in the LR ceiling are meant to be for the TV but I have no idea how it really works.

Re: a newwwwwwwwwwww car
oh and the 3 rectangle ones in the LR are 7 inches wide and 11 inches tall, the circle holes in the ceiling are about an 8 inch diameter.
edit: what kind of equipment am i going to need to get them all hooked up? i'm assuming some kind of reciever but i have no idea what to look for. i don't want to break the bank since i have to use most of my 8k to buy appliances

Re: a newwwwwwwwwwww car
Gratz on your new house.
When I was younger, I used to think that the world was doing it to me and that the world owes me some thing…When you're a teeny bopper, that's what you think. I'm 40 now, I don't think that anymore, because I found out it doesn't f--king work. One has to go through that. For the people who even bother to go through that, most assholes just accept what it is anyway and get on with it." - John Lennon
Re: a newwwwwwwwwwww car
I used to work for a dealer, so I havent shopped for this stuff on the web... I would check http://www.smarthome.com or ebay. I really like Sonance, Boston Acoustics and Speakercraft used to be pretty good. There is a huge difference in the quality of in-wall/ceiling speakers. So the manufacturer matters. Ive sold some nice speakers on ebay in the past and in-wall/ceiling go for a great price.*~*stragi*~* wrote:The LR has the 3 in the wall and two in the ceiling on the other side.. do you have any sites you trust for buying that stuff? You need a HT receiver, looks like 5.1 will work, Ive seen some good deals on Denon and other products that are a few years old on craigslist. Otherwise Id say sink $500 into a Yamaha, Denon, Pioneer Elite (Elite only)... actually I only really like Yamaha and Denon... there are other manufacturers out there, but the stuff they sell is built like a rock and will last damn near forever.

Re: a newwwwwwwwwwww car
Okay, so don't skimp on the speakers in the living room.
There are two carved out in the ceiling of my covered patio, do I need special speakers for outdoor?
I'm STILL waiting for the bank to sign the damn papers so we can move foward and close.

Most incealings have some type of water resistance for bathroom installations... you should be fine with regular ones, they might need to be replaced in 3 or 4 years though.

Re: a newwwwwwwwwwww car
passed inspection, but the listing agent is a douche fuck and isn't paying his bills so it took a week longer than it should have and now we're way passed the 10 days i had to get an inspection done. and he didn't have the gas turned on so it can't be appraised and we have to send the appraiser back out. fuck this motherfucker
