Welcome to In-N-Out Burger Las Vegas...

Post by Vaemas »

I heard the hype but chose not to believe. All I can say is In N Out is some hot shit. 11:00 a.m. on a Sunday morning and it's standing room only.

I'm a believer.

Right now we're having the same discussion on AIM, but I'll say it here too. I'm a firm believer in clogging my arteries at Jack in the Box from an Ultimate Cheeseburger whenever I'm on the West Coast. In 'N Out is good, but I will honor teh Ultimate cheeseburger first :/

Time to put in for some TDY time to CA it seems.

Have that here. The Frisco Thickburger is pretty damn good. Still not as good as a freshly made In-N-Out burger though.

I'm by no means a health nut, but I just can't fathom how someone would willingly shovel that shit into their body.

I guess it's really no wonder why obesity is so common in the US.

All things in moderation my friend. Every once in a while I'll have a Double-double from In and Out. Great taste.

That said, it's definitely horrible for you. :D

All things in moderation
True true.

Actually, looking at the nutritional info of In N Out burgers, they really aren't too bad when compared to places like Burger King.

my favorite thing about in-n-out is their fries. they literally throw a peeled potato into a chopper and then put it straight into the fryer. artery clogging? you bet your ass! but it doesn't get any fresher than that, it's a totally different taste.

Eh. It's not all that.

Been there a few times and while they make a decent burger I've had better from Max & Ermas and a few other places here in the midwest. I'd eat there, but "standing room only", for a burger? c'mon....

I'd rather have Carl's Jr/Green Buritto here than In-n-Out burger.

Im with Ashur on this one. Its an ok burger, but no way is worthy of a standing room only, line out the door wait.

I did that once and likely will not do it again if theres another fast food joint across the street.

I go 3 by 2... 3 patties are better! And always make them drop your fries again, they are much better that way

I think the guy that took us there all the time just liked hearing the sound of his voice saying "I'll have a double-double animal style".

I eat my burgers w/ cheese and not much else, so maybe that's what I'm missing. Do they have some "sekrit sauce" or something?

Also, I must say its pretty strange that there are 2 In & Outs in Reno/Sparks (another in Gardnerville makes 3 in Northern NV) and Vegas is just now getting one. As everyone knows Vegas is the only place people live in Nevada.

vegas isn't just now getting one. i can think of 3 off the top of my head that have been here for over 10 years, one of which is the big sparkly one just off the strip on tropicana and industrial.

pretty sure he visited the one on tropicana and industrial as the line is winding out the door pretty much all day long. :)

One of the few things I miss about CA is In-N-Out.... yeah, it is fast food, but it as about as good as you can get in that regard in both price and general cleanliness/healthiness. Yeah, it is still not great for you, but I sure do miss it! I used to go at least a couple times a month to the Ventura BLVD location. mmm mmm mmm

Double-Meat, animal style and wellie fries. ;) Sounds like porn, but it ain't. The closest thing we have up here is Burgerville, and that is not saying much!

On a side note, even though it is bottom of the barrel, I am making a pilgrimage to White Castle next month when I will be training out in NY.

Culver's is the best burger place I've ever been to.

Whataburger comes in a pretty close second.

Oof, prepare for disappointment. The "meat" is questionable at best, if you can find it.

Had in-n-out once about two years ago visiting san fran for my first time. It was good to know the meat was purchased and delivered as healthy a way as possible for a fast food place. However, I didn't find anything particularly terrific about it. Maybe I'm just jaded because if I get ground meat for burgers, it's always ground chuck at from either wegmans or the butcher. So the fresh meat thing doesn't really turn my head too much.

Closest thing to in-n-out around me is fatburger which just opened up in Jersey City about a year ago.

There's a Fatburger in Vegas now too. My buddy stopped there after I flew home and he said it was good, just not as good as In-N-Out...

And that is why people go there!

Bite sized burgers with onions and questionable meat.

Is there a white castle in NYC? I lived in NY for most of my life and at one point they all disappeared I couldn't find em anywhere.

Not many... according to their site there's a couple in Manhattan, 1 in brooklyn and 1 in the bronx.

Miir did the legwork on that one as I really never even considered looking for one while I was working in Manhattan regularly (and still don't when I have meetings there).
There are a ton in North NJ though. Where I currently live, I'm between two that are practically equidistant from me on Route 1, in Linden and Edison. I especially like the bullet-proof glass, it's a nice touch for the fine dining experience.

"Food" and "Sack" really don't belong in the same sentence

Oh damn, not sure how I forgot Culvers since they have one just down the road and it's the only local burger joint I eat from - probably because I always get take out (usually my wife gets it and I just get home and she tells me there's Culvers and rings on the table).

I just associate it with eating at home. Very good burgers!

I may be imagining things, but I'm pretty sure I went to an In N Out Burger joint back in 1984 in Las Vegas so they've been there a long time.
