ATX Case & MB Match

So I've been looking at putting together a new system and found a few boards and a few cases that I like and will decide between. But one thing that concerns me is that the connectors on the back side of the MB's are slightly different in a couple of them, and none of them match the port/plug/usb openings displayed in the pictures on Newegg.

Am I missing something, or do I need to search for a case that matches the MB's connections? I thought ATX was supposed to be a standard so that you could get an ATX case to match. I believe there's different types of ATX apparently, but none of the boards say anything but ATX. Here's some examples of which all say ATX for the form factor (all are ABITs):

Note that the port openings don't match the MB's at all.

What am I missing?

Most motherboards come with the connector plate that attaches to the case. That should be a fairly standard fit on all cases these days.

Unless I'm missing the question!

Actually now that I've checked, my I/O panel came with the case and the manual says if it doesn't fit your motherboard to contact your motherboard vendor for the right one. So maybe non-standard ones come with the motherboard. I'm 90% certain a Tyan I bought a few years ago came with the I/O panel.

My last three or four motherboards have included replacement plates for the standard computer case.

Abit has them for sure.

Same with Asus boards. Last one I bought came with 2 other plates in the box.

I had one with the case and one with the Asus MB. I just couldn't remember at the time!

The last 2 MSI boards had the plate as well.
