I've been EQ-Free for a while now, just finally bit the bullet and sold off my account to fund some of my RL passions, haha, meaning new clothes and money towards a newer, faster motorcycle.

it feels SO GOOD not playing EQ all the damn time, I don't know how i stuck with it so long.

Good for you! I have been clean for 3 years now.

I've been clean for a long time now as well. However, I do miss the dungeon crawling with a single group of friends.

Maybe I'll get into another mmorpg in 5 or 10 years with a few friends or something. Like where we all log on for an hour or two on certain nights and that is all.

But I have a hard time being a casual player. Maybe i'll get it down right someday

Just don't be anything that nukes, or able to teleport parties out of dungeons by mistake.

The good news is you can always get the account back 6 months from now better equipped then when you sold it for free!

That was never the problem...the real problem was recovering from the deathloop when he bound in Fear!

I've been clean a while now and still miss the good old days. Sometimes I'm even tempted to log on but then I remind myself that todays EQ is nothing like the game I miss so much.

I find myself kind of laughing about the "dead prez" avatar i saw above.. I think to myself, is this guy white, and does he listen to their music...
because if he did, he would know they despise white people and use the word cracker as much as a normal person uses the word "the".
Not meaning to take from the thread.. just an incite I had a hard time not sharing.

P.S. Clean for 15 months! I'll be casual in EQ2...well maybe hardcore for the first few weeks...get myself out of the crowded zones.

I've been clean for 14 months now. Didn't sell though as I don't really like the fact that someone else would be running around with my name.
