new VeeshanVault Chat/Ignore features - God help us all

Currently the themes SubSilver/VeeshanVault/DarkEQ are supporting the chat feature. On the main forum page, at the bottom, under who's online is a link to click for the chatbox.

Currently the ignore feature is working only on the SubSilver template til we make new graphics and add the code to the other themes.

To use the ignore feature, choose SubSilver as your theme, go to a post where the poster you want to ignore has posted, and above the post will be an icon labeled STFU, click this, and you will have your options, there is also an ignore control panel there for managing your ignore list. We will be adding direct links and all that other jazz later on, we want the functionality in first and foremost.

(BTW. Ignoring a user on the board also ignores them in our chatbox, nifty 'feature')

Pretty sure I'm gonna have to add it to each of the other templates, I started with subsilver since no one uses it, and if I broke it, no big loss.

VeeshanVault theme has it, and im about to add it to darkeq - any other theme requests let me know and I'll add the chat funcitonality.

This is a test through the end of the month to see how it affects bandwidth or if it's even worth keeping.

Better yet, quit bashing him. Adding STFU feature is step one. Step two is actually ignoring him. Step three will be when he spams the fuck out of the board because no one will reply. Step four is when he is either (a)banned for spamming too much because he can no longer get his RDA of annoying the shit out of people with the "content" of his previous posts or (b) when he just gives up and goes home because nobody will play with him.

I forget the rest of the steps, I think step five is admitting to ourselves, to God and to another the nature of our wrongs and step 8 is to make amends with those we have hurt. Something like that.

Oh please. Everyone here who rants and rants about how they h8 Searyx and wish he would stab his eyes out with a three-pieced fork while jumping off a bridge head first need to actually go through with their talk and use the STFU feature. I see so many posts by hypocrites about how they love the new feature, and yet they still respond to his posts, obviously reading everything he posts. If you don't like reading his posts, don't fucking read them. It's as simple as that. You all don';t like to admit it, but you all love having Searyx here because he brings a target for the community. So you all need to grow up, get some balls, and admit that Searyx is fun to have around, if only as a joke to humanity.

I really don't see much difference between Searyx and all the other posts...except maybe that he knows which buttons to push to get everyone going... it seems to me that people just don't get his brand of sarcasm.

I find most of his posts entertaining.
