Arcade games

How many of you have an actual arcade game in your house? I am curious as I enjoy having them, I dont have the obvious answer of "why not get a mame box". I like to go out to my garage and flick on my machines and have the feel of an arcade. This is what I have:
Altered Beast
Shinobi
Relief Pitcher
Final Fight
4 player high impact football
Space Invaders
Operation Wolf
NARC
Ikari Warriors
Black Pyramid (Pinball)
Foosball
There are quite a few more I would like to get, most of the machines I have I didnt 'look for' and are not my favorites but got them cheap so why not...
Anyone else? Or am I the only person kinda stuck in the 80's

As far as having a real machine goes, I wouldn't mind getting one some day. So many out though not sure what to get. Always like Dragon Spirit by Namco. Where did you find them? Just browsing local ads or what?
I wouldn't mind a pinball machine as well but those are a bit pricey.
Just need to buy a house to put them in!
Living in an apartment makes it hard... But been thinking about a MAME cabinet. Looking at
http://www.slikstik.com/sscab.htm
(with control panel of course!)
since it uses the cam things so it can be disassembled for transport. Going to be a beast with a 27" monitor in there. Supposedly they have a cabinet on the way to accomodate the 33" Wells Gardner but that's a bit expensive.

I saw a thin on Ebay a few years ago where they were modding the old machine that had standardized controls ( 1 joy and 4 buttons per player etc) with the rom chips for 20 games per box. Made it nice in terms of space saving I will see if I can find a link to them and pm you when I get a chance.

ya just picked em up here and there, never paid more then $100 for one actually. A few fixes here and there and asking people about them when you happen to see em, a lot of people dont know what to do with them. I like the original machines, the MAME stuff is capable of playing something like 4700 games, as was mentioned great space saving way to go.

I want one of the old sit-down Pac-Man games. That would be the bestest coffee table EAVR.

There used to be a game that eventually turned up as an orginal Sega title.
It was a 2-D game set in a layered dungeon with multiple platforms and ladders.
The main character had a spiked ball and chain that he'd throw around like a yo-yo of death. As you progressed you could upgrade the power and length of the ball and chain, and you could earn money to upgrade your armor as well. You could also get dagger upgrades that would spray contra style all over the screen.
I think the outside of the machine had a big conan type guy with long black hair.
I SO wish I could remember the name of that title.
I remember as a kid endlessly watching the machine at the neighborhood gas station in demo mode because I didn't have any quarters.

My husband and I have a Killer Instinct 2 Box. It's a lot of fun to play, but I think our next investment will be a mame box for two reasons: its more cost and space effective

Don't have any at home but in our office we have:
Star Wars (sit-in)
Pac Man
Robotron
Tempest got sold a couple of weeks ago (boo)
Smash TV
2-seat Daytona
But then my boss refurbishes them as a "hobby" and has the largest provate collection in europe. I'm badgering him to bring one of his half-dozen Missile Commands into the office for us.

Now there is a couple games I would absolutely love to have. They both have made a lot of quarters from me over the years. I would not say I refurbish them just yet, but I do get them working clean them up and soon if I have time I will then start restoring them to their old glory

Yes, and it can easily hold your beer while playing. You need the two way sit-down games.
I beat Lynks at Ms Pac-Man at a sit down game recently. I beat the high score on the machine as well. I know he is jealous but he will not admit it

Well I've tried quite a bit to locate a mame ROM for that Black Tiger game. It goes under the bundle type of "blktiger"
Everywhere I go is an expired link, or a dead end.
too bad....

I loved Joust and track and field, Joust I hear is very expensive and hard to get. I do have a Dig-Dug cabinet, it is now final-fight, but still has Dig dug stickers and papers inside of it..

I would love to find
Rolling Thunder
Gauntlet
Elevator Action
Xenophobe
Millionaire (Pinball)
Star Trek (Pinball)
Life Force
Time Warriors
Smash TV
Robotron
Tron Deadly Disk
Hell I want em all. Maybe at some point I will open an old-school arcade just to do it.

Gauntlet. But would probably get Gauntlet II.
Track and Field with buttons > Track and Field with trackball.

I don't have any video games, but I do have the
Nightmare on Elm Street Pinball Machine. Unfortunately, it's broken atm (there's a short in it somewhere that I haven't managed to track down). Was a fun machine, but for now it's just a big funny looking shelf to hold junk.

In truth the only game I would truly want first above all is
GOLDEN TEE
hours of enjoyment for me and my drinking buddies.
