Daily CoH Server Maintenance
Friday, April 30, 2004

Schedule

Starting tomorrow, Saturday, May 1, CoH will be undergoing server maintenance daily from 8am to 10am CDT. Please note: while we are reserving this daily two-hour period for maintenance updates, they will not necessarily require the entire two hours and additional updates may be scheduled outside this time-period as needed. We may also perform maintenance on additional CoH-related servers, such as the web servers, message boards, or login servers.

WTF. There guys need a serious reality check if they thing that daily server maintenance is acceptable.
I mean the monkeys at Sony can keep EQ servers up for over 2 weeks without taking em down.

Cryptic really needs to fire their engineers and hire some real talent.

Woah, simmer down there! I'll bet they're just experiencing a bigger load than they were expecting or something. SoE can keep a server up for 2 weeks? Heh, even now 5 years in it'd be rare to see a server last 2 weeks, and in the beginning? Holy hell.

I don't recall Veeshan crashing all that much ever in the evening post Kunark other than in the 2-3 days post-expansion.

Don't recall daily crashes though.
