After watching watching the Av's Implode last night , I see this serie going 5 games Max. Sharks will keep on the hunt.

Please don't talk about the sharks, we prefer to remain in obscurity. Until we are in the finals of course

I have to admit I was kinda happy with the results of last night: kinda neutral on SJ/Col but I was pleased to see Calgary upset Detroit and happy with the Flyers winning

You're just asking for a ban, you know! Not like Detroit deserved to win. They played terrible the 3rd period.

Neener neener neener!!! I am teh Flamez fan!!! Die Detroit Die!!! Ban me Zoocow, exproiter of boards!!!
Actually Detroit should have won that game in the 1st: Kipprusoff stole it for them.
Early in the game, the Red Wings had a lot of quality opportunities. For a while, it looked like a skills competition. It was tic-tac-toe with the Red Wings passing the puck around at will and creating scoring opportunities

I don't always agree with McKenzie but I do this time.

yeah, they played the first period excellent - second period okay, and third period... well, not so good.
They really need to get the power play going again. 0/6 is just not acceptable for a team with so much talent.

I liked the results of today's game much better! 5 points for Lidstrom, too! (1G, 3A).
How bout the Sharks though... dominating the Avs AGAIN. That goal by Cheechoo was nothing short of jawdropping.

Cheechoo's goal has to be one of my all time favorites. Also, I think Yzerman is the man for the Red Wings, truly one, if not the greatest, active player in the NHL at the moment.
But...
Go Flames Go!

I said it before, we don't talk about the sharks... we just watch and grin. Johnathon is going to be a superstar

No when you give an ass beating like the last two teams tend to notice things like that.

I watched the Lightning/Flyers game this weekend, and Philly got DEALT with. You can't grapple somebody you can't catch, and those guys are quick.

Since Philly stole one in Tampa, I think things may be a little closer than folks expected.

I gotta give credit to the Flames , they are beating the Sharks , in good games. Seems right now that Calg , well they have a better team at the moment

They've been on a hot streak since day one of the playoffs. Right now, they're just coasting with the momentum and its not showing any sign of slowing down. Overall, San Jose has a better team but they need to wake up and get something going very soon. Losing game 3 will almost be impossible to come back from.
Anyways, GO FLAMES GO!
Edit to add: Deep down, I want to see a San Jose vs Tampa Bay matchup. I think it would be the best in years.

All Tied Up Baby! Sharks actually took it to the Flames and beat them at their own game, that was a great albeit Brutal game

Someone forgot to send the Sharks and the Flames the memo about the "Home Ice Advantage". Either that or they missed it recovering from all the hits and watching the tapes in defensive preparation.
I'm enjoying this series and I think it shows that defensive hockey can be entertaining when the teams skate hard and play physical. These teams are too fast for a "neutral zone trap" to be very effective: they pursue the shoot ins with a lot of speed.
The big question: will anyone win at home?

I hope not Wulf!

How about those Flames. Pretty exciting stuff really.
Does anyone in hockey know what a fucking razor is? I've never seen so many lumberjacks skating around at one time then in that game

Its tradition/superstition not to shave during the playoffs.

They even refer to it as the playoff beard.

ahh, makes sense I didn't know, Rangers haven't seen a playoff game in nearly a decade

Shanahan shaved his playoff beard this year, that's my theory for why the Wings got bounced in round 2 and I'm stickin to it!
