I think Guy Ritchie has a new movie coming out soon, as well.. but it could just be a rumor. I think I remember reading about it somewhere, though.

I disagree.

The production quality of Lock Stock cannot be compared to that of Snatch. Additionally, each of the central characters in Snatch were played so well by their respective actors it's hard to find flaws. Finally, the direction in Snatch was far more refined and consistent throughout the movie.

Lock Stock is a good movie.

Snatch is the best movie ever made.

I would have to say that Snatch is probably on the high end of my alltime favorite movie list. Hellagood movie

Guy Ritchie's new movie looks like a can of ass. It never ceases to amaze what lengths people will go to in order to fuck Madonna. It must be some sort of pheremone she emits. How one goes from making the two most important comedy noir films since Pulp Fiction into making another tired, plotless romantic comedy starring Madonna and some random foreign actor boggles my mind.

Ritchie is pretty much a UK Tarantino knockoff anyway.. Only his taste in music is average at best and he borrows too much dialogue from the likes of John Cleese and Rick Mayall.

Lock Stock and two Smoking Barrels had a better script, and more interesting characters. Statham and Vinnie Jones basically just reprised their characters in Snatch from their performances in LSaTSB and the inclusion of so many hollywood actors seemed bolted on and phony in an attempt to add star power to the movie in order to generate interest (almost made up for by Benicio del Toro being so hilarious as a hasidic jew). I could care less about the production values.

I really liked the 3 samoan crooks in Snatch though.

Aye Kyoukan, the part where the three samoans were in the car bitching at each other is one of the best parts of the movie, comedy wise that is. As for the music, I thought it fit the movie quite well.

Snatch script (at least for free) not available yet. Here are some links for you to keep track of that have updated shit.

http://www.joblo.com

http://www.script-o-rama.com

Both are very good and have tons of good scripts.

HINT: For .txt files, just change the extension to .doc for easier formatting. Otherwise, they are all in .pdf, .html, .doc, etc.

Enjoy!

As for the production value on LSaTSB, didn't the crew end up taking cuts in their own salaries just to MAKE that movie? I could have sworn hearing something about that back when they started production. I thought that with the limited budget, they came off with a great piece of work. Some of the new movies with budgets that would pay off the national deficit are a helluva lot worse.

I personally think Snatch comes off as a much more refined movie than lock stock, the humor is better, acting is better, both movies are great, Snatch is just better.
