Super Mario (note the red and gold colors, do they remind you of a flag?)

Image
Communist dictator and snappy dresser Josef Stalin

What it is it about a plumber (a symbol of the proletariat worker) who is on a quest to the koopa king? Isn't that a revolution?

When Super Mario wins a level, he brings down the peace flag and raises a flag over the castle. On the flag is none other than the red star of russia.

During the Bolshevik revolution, the bolsheviks brutally murdered the Royal Czarh family by a firing squad then dumped their bodies into an pool of acid. Much like Mario shoots king koopa with fireballs and drops him into a pool of lava.
