Bad: Going to the doc with a headache on Tuesday

Worse: Getting a CT then a spinal tap to make sure you don't have bleeding on the brain

Worse2: Catching a horrific case of the somtach flu less than 3hrs later forcing a return trip to the ER due to severe agony in your lower back from either pulled muscles or improper 'taping.

Worse3: Being loaded up on so many pain killers and muscle relaxants that you don't remember more than brief snippets from 5:30 AM wednesday until sometime around 9am Thursday.

Worse4: Having a major buisness asignment due on friday (today) that you were going to finish on tuesday.

So. How's everyone else's week been?

I avoid the doctor like the plague. If you are having headaches then try out a chiropractor. SOmetimes it is a pinched nerve and a few adjustments can do a lot of good. Best thing is that you aren't going into a plague filled waiting room and being forced to wait 6 hours.

Blueberry pop tarts are quite tasty. But I like the brown sugar ones better!

Life is good here too - I got coffee.

No coffee, no pop-tarts, upset stomach and a rude awakening at 5am by that goddamned buzzing noisebox telling me I had to go to work.

But it's payday.. so it's not a total loss.

My cat hit my snooze alarm for me this morning. It owned.

If I wasn't deathly allergic to cats I'd totally want one that I could blame being late to work on.

Pop Tarts: Toasted or untoasted?

My vote is for untoasted!

I like them equally toasted or untoasted. I am not biased!

whatever that stomach flu thing is, it's destroying people around here. lots of people have been missing from work this week, and when i spoke to my dad last week he'd been out of work for a couple of days. and that guy NEVER misses a day of work.

i hope i don't get sick. :(

speaking of the holiday, they're making our admins work 8 hours on easter. luckily i'm not an admin, but wtf is that.

If you have bad headache that won't go away, don't mess around.

A CT scan is manditory.

Statistics show theres a less chance of an "incident" if you let them go on a friday.

My own personal statistics show, if you let me go over the phone as opposed to in person...there will be a fucking incident.

Today is my 19th Birthday and I woke up at 6am and had to puke my guts out, for no real reason (wasn't drinking or anything - I think I caught one of those 24 hour viruses or something).

Jesus h8 me.

Heh, I was too shocked and disgusted to cause a scene. Not to mention I'm a "professional". I calmly deleted all data files on my PC including cookies and web history, turned my shit in and left.

I'd never before in my career been treated this poorly by an employer.

This was actually a post I made a few weeks ago on my guild board but it seems fitting for this thread :)
It snowed last night so we got up early to clear away the snow before heading to work. I thought it was a great start to the day but somehow we were still late for work - that was the start.

When I got in, I set to making my toast and tea. The kettle was recently boiled so I poured some water in my mug. It wasn't hot enough so smart me put the mug into the microwave for 30sec. Then to be nice, I took the kettle over to the water fountain to refill it for others.

I heard cracking noises...ran back to the microwave to see smoke billowing out of it...my mug was on fire! I forgot that since the damn this was made mostly of metal it shouldn't go in the microwave and all the plastic on it was in flames. When I opened the microwave to blow out the flames, soot went everywhere. Now the main floor of our building smells like burned plastic!

So I start to clean up the mess and the paper towel rack runs out of towels. After 2 trips to the bathroom (at the other end of the building) for more, I finally get it all clean. I make another cup of tea and head to my desk.

Time to work! Friday I had to reset my network password (security measures) and guess what? Today I can't remember what it is! I manage to get it on the third try before the system locks me out and reach over for my cup of tea which I promptly spill all over my desk !?!?!? I stand up, take a deep breath and make the trek back to the bathroom for more DAMN PAPER TOWELS!

My coworkers are in hysterics laughing at me.
Somebody send me home
