Does anyone know of a portable MP3 player that can be run through a car's cassette deck or through an FM station like some of the CD players and portable discman CD players? I truly have no desire to spend a fortune on a car stereo as I don't listen to much music....and own very few CD's. I am just sick of radio stations in the area playing non-stop ads and crap music. There has to be something out there doesn't there?

i have an archos jukebox recorder, and i love it. i use the rockbox OS though, much better than the archos shit.
that aside, you should be able to run any mp3 player using a cassette thingie that plugs into the headphone slot.

My better half has a Dell MP3 player that she uses in the car. She runs it through the radio, and supposedly it works fine. I used to have the casette adapter back in the day for a discman and it worked fine.

My friend just got an IPod with the radio transmitter - seems to work pretty good for him.

You can get a Sony in dash cd player that has a built in MP3 decoder for around $150-$200 now. I have a Sony one that is really nice.

$160 for that one, I doubt you can find a mp3 player with significant storage for that price.
