Yeah, it is... if you are as small as an M&M. That probably wouldn't even make a decent sized spliff for a person :(

Honest question: Why is it, you can take a picture of like... anyone or anything, and add weed, and people will post that it's funny/hilarious?

What's so hilarious about it? I look at the picture and see like... M&Ms and a pile of weed, but I don't get the humor...

Humor is completely subjective. While I personally don't find the picture of the M&Ms with weed all that funny, describing why anything is funny tends to kill the humor, so I don't think that it can really be explained. Take, for example, this post from the other thread that is currently at the top of the forum:

A sheep!
I'm not trying to comment on the quality of the humor or anything, I'm merely presenting you with the opportunity to describe why it's funny. I think you'll find it harder than it seems.

Some pot smokers find it humorous when someone (something?) who wouldn't characteristically smoke marijuana is in a situation where they are "on the weed". I'm sure there's some lame golfer out there who has a poster of the M&Ms golfing with some "witty" remark that he belly laughs at every time he walks into his cubicle. I've seen more stickers of Calvin pissing on things than I can count. PEOPLE ACTUALLY PAY MONEY TO SEE GALLAGHER. There's no explaining any of it.

Fair enough! I really was just asking. I assumed it was that, but wasn't really sure if there was something I've been missing all this time.

Since you brought it up, the Calvin pissing thing is actually really sad. There's a reason why Bill Waterson isn't doing C&H anymore, and that's part of it. :(

FYI, the sheep thing is an inside joke that about 7 people will get, including Xo.

This is because I am a (comic) genius in my own mind, and you are clearly a figment of my overactive imagination conjured in a need to justify my warped sense of humour.

Calvin and Hobbes was the greatest cartoon ever. There is no debate. If you do not agree then you can die.

well it's fortunate that I agree!

I actually have the entire collection still boxed away from my days of being wee.

Farside, Calvin & Hobbes and Bloom County. I'd rank them all about the same for me.

There must have been a sheep in Far Side! BAAAHHHHHHHHH!

C&H, Far Side, and Bloom County are all extremely good, but I think where C&H wins for me is the fact that it's not so adult, and it's a nice escape back to simpler times.

Get Fuzzy and Non-Sequiter are hands down the best comic strips in general circulation since C&H. Sinfest wins for the underground comic strip.

The beginning of The Calvin and Hobbes - Tenth Anniversary Book details Watterson's frustration with his publisher, with licensing, with formatting for papers, etc. He was a true artist who wasn't willing to compromise his art, and wasn't willing to sell out. Ever wondered why there was never a licensed Calvin and Hobbes set of toys, action figures, etc.? Watterson could have made millions on that, but he wasn't willing to. I love that book, but the intro, where he explains why he's done, makes me sad. :(

why couldn't he just have started publishing it himself? i'm sure he wasn't broke.

I'm guessing it probably had something to do with him not having 100% rights to the characters or something? Just a guess..

Actually he did. But there was immense pressure to license out his characters. He didn't want to.
